"The Embroidery Shop"
Angus practices in several locations, the current principal one is at 2A Bayley Street, Dianella, at a medical practice termed "The Embroidery Shop" run by Dr Sam Febbo, consultant psychiatrist and Ms Kath Webster, Nurse Practitioner. Consultations are available on Fridays and bookings can currently be made by contacting Angus on 0403 553 998 or email: foodhealing@outlook.com.au.
A self-booking online system will be available later in 2023
Swan Medical Centre, Midland
Angus has discontinued practicing at the Swan Medical Centre from 2022. For the time being, his Dianella practice has taken the place of this service. A new practice site is due later in 2023.
The Beacon Centre for the Homeless
Angus also runs cooking and nutrition programs at the Salvation Army Beacon centre for crisis accomodation, 9 Aberdeen Street, Northbridge. To inquire further contact the Beacon directly at 9492 7101. Bulk-billed dietetic consultations are available for in-house Beacon residents.
Talks and Demonstrations
Angus can provide talks and demonstrations on a variety of nutritional related topics to your workplace, club or society. These are often free of charge for non-profit or charitable organizations. Contact Angus directly for this service on 0403 553 998.
Costs of Services
From the 1st July 2023, private fees and rebates will be as follows:

Initial appointments are 45 minutes duration, reviews are 30 minutes.
*Medicare Rebates
If your doctor has referred you on a Allied Health Care Plan which includes dietetics (see below for two different types) you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate. This means that you will receive a portion of the total fee back from Medicare. The current rebate (2023) is approximately $56 for each session.
Holders of a Seniors Card or Commonwealth Health Care card AND an Allied Health Care Plan (see below). may be eligible for bulk billing. Please enquire first.
*Eating Disorder Treatment Plans
If you have been diagnosed with an eating disorder AND meet the eligibility criteria, your GP can place you on an Eating Disorder Plan (EDP). This will entitle you to rebates for up to 20 visits per year to see a Dietitian (and 20-40 visits to see a psychologist).
Please check with your GP, psychiatrist or pediatrician to see if you qualify.
(Note: If not eligible for an EDP, you may still be eligible for Medicare rebates under a Chronic Disease Management Plan).
*Chronic Disease Management Plans
This entitles you to rebates for up to 5 sessions per calendar year to see a variety of healthcare professionals. The number of sessions to see a Dietitian will be determined by your referring GP.
Examples of conditions that may qualify for a Chronic Disease Management Plan include: Diabetes, Kidney dysfunction, Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer treatment and recovery, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and more.

Private Health Insurance Rebates
Depending on your private health fund, you may be eligible for a rebate under your Private Health Insurance (not to be used in addition to Medicare). If you are using Private Health Insurance the rebate amount will depend on your particular fund and your level of cover. If unsure, just give your health fund a call to find out if you are covered for dietetics and what percentage of the consult will be covered. The Item code is 500 for initial consults and 600 for review consults. Check with your health fund.
